So who’s “Julie”?
While on vacation in Barbados with my husband and six other couples, who began addressing me as ”Julie”. I inquired, “Who is Julie?” “Julie, why are you calling me, Julie?” “You’re Cruise Director Julie from The Love Boat,” they responded. (The well-liked television program from the 1980s that takes place on a posh passenger ship). When I started playing a role similar to Julie’s on the show, booking our dinner reservations, excursions, spa appointments, photography sessions, flights, and more to make sure everyone had a well-planned memorable vacation, they gave me that nickname.

Some of us, including myself, missed our connecting flight home when departing Barbados. Instead of having to wait until the following day, I secured us on the next flight. My friends were so grateful! Since that time, and after thinking back on how wonderful our trip was, I realized then that I’d love to do this more for other couples and families. On the flight home, I decided on the spot to pursue my dream of working as a professional travel agent. And that’s exactly what I did!
I began my career as an independent travel agent with a company that gave me access to helpful travel industry training programs. My enthusiasm grew quickly as I gained more knowledge of the travel industry, learned the latest travel trends and networked with other professionals. I developed a niche, earned access to the exclusive booking system, and began creating travel itineraries and searching for the perfect destination for others!
Who’s behind “Julie”?…Rebecca

I love traveling and exploring new destinations along with revisiting ones. I have an enthusiasm to plan (not just travel). I am an organized, detailed person who loves meeting new people. Not once, but twice, I had a personal experience with a travel agent who did not meet my needs, and I ended up being the one to fill in the gaps = I did everything that should have already been done. From this I vowed to be solely responsible in making my travel arrangements. Friends and family soon began asking me to plan their personal vacations, after which I love hearing their reactions when they return home. Knowing I did a good job makes me smile!
